Early Career:

After his graduation from California State Polytechnic University, Pamona in 2005, he posted his first video on 11th January 2010. The video was about the gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Furthermore, Dr DisRespect began featuring in many videos of the gaming channel called Machinima. 

Nearly in 2011, he left YouTube and started his Twitch account. On 16th March 2011, Sledgehammer Games appointed him as the community manager to the level of designer. During his work there, Beahm helped them to create multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

In 2015, Herschel left Sledgehammer to join and focus on a full-time on his Twitch streaming career. He was having an on and off career on this platform as he was trying to take a break to solve his personal life with his wife and daughter.

His hard work and success led to sponsorship deals with Gillette, ASUS, Roccat and Game Fuel. Beahm IV signed a contract with Creative Artists Agency as a client on 10th January 2019. In fact, he signed a multi-year contract with Twitch in March 2020. 

However, on 26th June 2020, his Twitch account got banned permanently for violating the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. He never knew the reason for it being banned. On 23rd August 2021, Herschel revealed that he has known the real reason behind his account being banned but still the reason hasn't been made public.

YouTube Career:

Beahm has his YouTube channel with the name Dr DisRespect created on 5th January 2010. As of now, he has a total of 3.69 million subscribers with a massive number of views of 267 million. Since his Twitch account got banned permanently, he started streaming online video games via his YouTube channel in August 2020. On that day, he had a total concurrent audience of 510,000.

The Esports Industry award winner published his first-ever personal memoir titled Violence. Speed. Momentum on 30th March 2021. Moreover, the Game Awards winning streamer launched an AAA game studio called Midnight Society, with Call of Duty and Halo veterans.
